QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN DOING THIS?
Heather-Feather's Face Painting has been going strong for more than 15 years and continues to grow.  Sometimes we are able to add team members to the roster, and each individual's years of experience will differ from the others.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO REMOVE THE FACE PAINT?
Through trial and error, Heather-Feather has discovered that the best way to remove the types of face paints that she uses is to do the following...

1) Use a DAMP (not soaked) paper towel or rag that you don't mind getting stained.  Ensure that it is squeezed so that there will be no drips getting into eyes or onto clothing, carpets, etc.  Remove most of the paint.

2) Once you get to the point when it looks as though the skin is stained, follow up by using a wet wipe to remove the last of the pigment, giving a very gentle scrub, and ensuring that sensitive cheeks are not irritated by rubbing.  For best results, use the fold-fold-fold method so that a clean surface is used every few strokes.  Heather-Feather includes packets of Huggies Natural Care wet wipes for each person at all events and appointments.  Huggies is not a sponsor... Heather-Feather has simply found this product to be the best and safest for removing the types of paints that she uses.  While the paints these days have high levels of pigment to give us that oh-so-coveted wow factor, they do seem to require this 2-part removal system.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO REMOVE COLOURED HAIRSPRAY?
Simply shampoo out before bed.  In fact, the colour will often fade by the end.  While the coloured hairsprays that Heather-Feather uses have all been tested to come out of hair easily in the tub, it must be noted that they can stain fabrics, and so it is wise to shampoo before heads are lain on pillow cases.

WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO REMOVE BLING / HORNS?
The items themselves can simply be pulled gently from the skin... easier than a band-aid!  Once pulled away, there will likely be some residue from the child-safe skin adhesive.  A wet wipe can be used to gently smooth away this residue, and Heather-Feather includes packets of Huggies Natural Care wet wipes for each person at all events and appointments.  Huggies is not a sponsor... Heather-Feather has simply found this product to be the best and safest for removing the child-safe skin adhesive.

DO YOU HAVE REFERENCES?
You are welcome to scroll back through our BLOG / HOME page, as well as our ARCHIVE located in the right-hand column of the same page to view posts from some of the many, many events we have been invited to in our happy Peterborough community.  Posts do not by any means reflect the number of events that we have attended (exponentially more!), as photos are not always taken at events, especially at birthday parties when parents are not in attendance to give permission for photos.  You can also scroll down to the bottom of the PACKAGES --- BUSINESSES & COMMUNITY EVENTS page to see a list of many of the organizations and businesses that have hired us.

DO YOU HAVE REQUIREMENTS?
Yes.  Requirements may change depending on the type of event, package selected, and the location.  Requirements are always discussed during booking.  Generally, the following are to be provided by organizers of events:  table; 2 chairs (regular-sized, not child-sized nor bar stools); access to hygienic water for regular changes; access to disposal for regular water changes; shelter.
